I have been faithfully going to the gym three times twice a week to jog on the tread mill. Last week I was able to do (fairly easily - although I was a stuffed goose at the end):
This week I am to do:Brisk 5 minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging with 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.
Brisk 5 minute warmup walk. Then alternate 90 seconds of jogging with 2 minutes of walking for a total of 20 minutes.
But in actuality, yesterday I did:
I am so excited!! Now all I need is to see some belly flub shifting and I'll be really stoked! I am going to try for that again today or tomorrow.Brisk 2 minute warmup walk, followed by 2 minutes of jogging and 1 minute of walking for a total of 20 minutes.
(I do realise that in reality this is a pretty ordinary effort... )

(One teensy word of caution though... everyone I know who has done the program has STRONGLY urged against fast-tracking it, because it greatly increases your chance of injury...)

no it's a FAB effort !! well done ... this is exactly how I learnt to jog ... I have since unlearnt it .... but I live in hope ... le ox
